Family Bible with great sentimental value arrived in many pieces. Soft Yapp Binding with remains of rotten dark red bookcloth, part end papers, single sheets, torn with mutiple corners turned. A Disaster! All pages seperated, washed and pressed. Bookcloth remains backed with maroon skiver, using finished suface as a doublure. Sewn on leather thongs laced through skiver and cloth remains. Flyleaves of Victorian matching paper.

Both text blocks re-sewn before caseing in Maroon goatskin. All previous addresses with cross through record the owners history with current address open; tooled in 23ct gold leaf.
